Jennifer Rene Psaki
Psaki was the oldest of three daughters. She was born to Eileen Dolan Medvey (Psychotherapist 8] and Dimitrios R. Psaki (Greek, Demetrios R. Psakes), both of whom were real estate developers. Her grandfather immigrated from Greece in 1904 and her maternal grandmother was of Irish descent. She got wed to her parents in the year 1976. Psaki is also of Polish ancestry.Psaki has graduated from Greenwich High School in 1996. She graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2000, obtaining a degree both in English as well as sociology. She is an active member of Chi Omega. Psaki has been an elite backstroke swimmer at William & Mary Tribe. Psaki's professional career started in 2001, when she became involved in the re-election campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat running for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack, a candidate for governor. Psaki was later appointed the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, and also as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced Psaki's role as a political analysts during the 2022 United States elections, and in the presidential election of 2024. In 2023 she will host a program on MSNBC’s Peacock streaming site. [35] Psaki was on television for the first time after her dismissal from her position as White House Press secretary.
